Elena Bulgarella

Inner Fire Yoga Receptionist

I first discovered yoga when I moved to the U.S for college from Italy. Since then I have continued to return to the mat for 19 years! Yoga has become my most dedicated practice. It has nurtured my soul, mental health and physical wellbeing.  It has helped me in times of strife and provided me with great emotional regulation tools.

Whether in need of the nurturing of a more gentle and slow flow or to challenge my stamina and resilience through a more disciplined class, yoga always provides me with what I need.  I never regret setting aside an hour of my day to move my body and reconnect with myself.

I have experimented with many different workout classes and philosophies but I have found yoga to be the most compassionate.  It has helped me create a more positive relationship to exercise and my body.  Learning to be in a state of "flow" has served me well off the mat as a way to navigate life and its challenges. I am proud of my yoga journey and commitment to myself through my practice.

I recently moved to Madison from Chicago after realizing big city living was no longer serving me.  I am so excited to have found a local studio like Inner Fire Yoga to continue my yoga journey. I have felt so welcomed by this community and it has helped me feel more at home during this new period of transition!
