Membership & Billing
Your Account
How do I cancel, pause, or change my membership? +
Use our online membership management form. We require 1 week advance notice before your next billing date for all pauses and cancellations. Requests are processed within 72 hours.
How do guest passes work? +
Guest passes are included with every monthly membership (1 per billing cycle; 2 for VIP members). After booking yourself, tap "add guest" and follow the prompts to enter your guest's info. Watch a quick tutorial.
Does pre-registering guarantee my spot? +
Yes, pre-registering guarantees your spot in class as long as you arrive on-time. Arriving late could forfeit your spot if there is a waitlist for the class.
Why are there late cancel and no-show penalties? +
Spots in class are highly sought after, especially during busy season. Many classes sell out regularly. As such, late cancellations will be charged a $12 penalty and no-shows will be charged a $20 penalty. See our Policies page for full details.
How do waitlists work? +
Join a waitlist just like booking a class. You'll receive an email notification (and text if opted-in) if a spot opens up, so keep an eye on your inbox, especially close to class time. See our Policies page for full details.
In the Studio
Class Experience
What should I bring to class? +
A yoga mat, a mat towel, a hand towel, and plenty of water. Rentals are free your first visit (otherwise $4 each). Wear fitted, moisture-wicking clothes.
Will class be challenging? +
Yes, but you set the intensity. Every pose is adjustable to your level. Whether you're brand new or deeply experienced, you'll find your edge here.
Where should a first-timer place their mat? +
The second row near the door works well. You can follow other students and exit easily if needed. Always let your teacher know it's your first class; they're happy to help.
How many times per week should I practice? +
If possible, start with two or three times per week. Don't let time constraints be an obstacle. Just do what you can. You'll likely find that your desire to practice expands naturally over time.
How is yoga different from other fitness classes? +
Yoga connects breath, body, and mind. Rather than just "working out," you're moving your body while cultivating inward attention, learning to observe yourself without judgement and stay present.
Why Yoga
Benefits & Practice
What are the benefits of yoga? +
Yoga improves flexibility, muscle tone, posture, mental clarity, lung capacity, lymphatic flow, immune function, and skin tone, and can help reduce joint pain, stress, and weight over time.
Can yoga help me lose weight? +
Yes. Yoga reduces cortisol (a fat-storing stress hormone), boosts metabolism, and encourages healthier eating habits. A regular practice supports sustainable, long-term weight management.
What is yoga? +
The word yoga comes from the Sanskrit word yuj, meaning to yoke or bind, often interpreted as union or a method of discipline connecting body, mind, and breath. The practice is based on millenia of cultural traditions out of India, but has evolved heavily since its origins.
I'm not flexible. Can I do yoga? +
Yes! Many people think they need to be flexible to begin yoga, but that's like thinking you need to be able to play tennis to take tennis lessons. Come as you are and you will find that yoga practice will help you become more flexible.
Can yoga help with stress? +
Absolutely. Yoga reduces cortisol and adrenaline, the body's primary stress hormones, while improving nervous system function and mental focus. A consistent practice builds resilience over time.
Hot Yoga Specific
The Heat
Why practice in the heat? +
Muscles and connective tissues become more elastic in the heat, allowing for greater flexibility. The heat also improves cardiovascular health, promotes detoxification through sweat, improves nervous system function, and reduces stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline.
Why did I feel dizzy during my first class? +
This is not unusual. Your body needs an adequate amount of water and electrolytes (like sodium) to allow perspiration to release heat during practice. We estimate you need another 64-80 ounces of water for a 90-minute practice. Once fully hydrated and replenished with electrolytes, your body will adjust to the heat more quickly.
What should I wear? +
Fitted exercise clothes that wick away moisture are ideal. Less fabric is generally better in the heat. Avoid loose or cotton clothing as it tends to hold sweat and feel heavy during practice.
Will the heat get easier over time? +
Yes. Your body acclimates with consistent practice. Most students find the heat feels much more manageable after just a few classes. The key is staying hydrated, practicing often, and listening to your body.
How do I prepare for my first hot yoga class? +
Hydrate well throughout the day. Avoid a heavy meal 2 hours before class. Bring a mat, two towels, and water. Arrive 15 minutes early and let your teacher know it's your first time.
