Inner Fire Yoga Teacher

Eight years ago, I began my yoga journey in response to significant mobility issues. What started as a quest for physical improvement soon transformed into a pathway for holistic well-being. Yoga became my gateway to enhanced fitness and flexibility, and the discovery of Yin yoga was a pivotal moment, further increasing my mobility and deepening my practice.

Beyond the physical gains, yoga has been instrumental in centering and relaxing my mind. It serves as a form of meditation, helping me focus on body awareness, manage tendencies to dissociate, and heal from past traumas. The mental calmness, improved patience, alleviation of anxiety and depression, and a stronger sense of self-love are among the most profound benefits of my practice. My exploration of heated yoga at Inner Fire Yoga added another layer to my practice, offering unique benefits that I found both invigorating and healing.

I had the privilege of learning from several remarkable mentors who introduced me to yoga and took the time to understand my unique needs and challenges. Over the years, I have been fortunate to meet and learn from many other teachers who have generously shared their yoga practices and journeys with me. The guidance of my various mentors has profoundly impacted my practice and inspired me to follow in their footsteps.

My journey to becoming a yoga teacher was deeply influenced by my passion for education and my desire to share the transformative power of yoga with others. I chose to become a teacher not only to deepen my practice and understanding but also to give back to the community that has provided me with such a valuable gift. My goal is to impart the wisdom I’ve gained through my journey, assisting others in discovering their own path to wellness through yoga.

I enjoy practicing Vinyasa and Power Flow yoga, but I have a special affinity for Yin yoga, which I view as a key element for rest and recovery. I graduated from Inner Fire Yoga’s 200-hour Teacher Training program in March 2024 and have also completed specialized Yin yoga training.

In my classes, I emphasize the importance of props, which help students move more freely and find greater stability and support. My enthusiasm for props earned me the title of "prop queen" among my fellow trainees. My teaching approach is dedicated to helping students understand their own bodies, guiding them into poses that feel good, support strength, and encourage both alignment and recovery.

Outside of yoga, I am a devoted animal lover with two cats named Kiwi and Bean. I enjoy watching women's basketball, spending time outdoors and on the water, creating poetry and art, and am known for my cooking skills!
