Inner Fire Yoga TeacherAlthough I believe my stardust was dropped with the right family but in the wrong coordinates on Earth; I was born in the Midwest and warmly call it home. One of the communities responsible for centering this feeling of home is Inner Fire Yoga.
Many years ago, a fellow educator gently interrupted my stream of consciousness to ask if I'd ever tried hot yoga. I joined them for a class when the IFY studio was on the 3500 block of University Avenue. I giggled aloud during class at the unexpected, and I joyfully left in a dreamlike and equally as unexpected silent state of flow.
Since that time, I have taken Hot Yoga classes on five continents, and found heart threads of home in this practice around the globe.
Early on in my practice I began to observe parallels between my studies in human development and a consistent Hot Yoga practice. Along the way, the two journeys became integrated as the construction of one's whole self from birth to our role as wisdom keeps is rooted in our breath, our meditation, our strength and flexibility, our adaptability, and our unconditional love.
