Inner Fire Yoga Teacher

My yoga journey started 22 years ago with a pinched nerve in my leg.  I visited several yoga studios, but it was Inner Fire Yoga’s schedule and warm and welcoming teachers who showed me how to modify the poses along with the community that made this studio my home.  In fact, I was one of the original yogis to participate in Inner Fire Yoga’s first “yoga challenge”.

After many yoga journal conferences with Shiva Rea, Sean Corn, Saul David Raye, Shakta Kaur, Desire Rumbaugh, Mandy Ingber and Max Strom,  I finally decided to attend Inner Fire Yoga’s teacher training in 2019.  In the spring of 2024 I also became certified in YIN.

Yoga and meditation has made me a better person by making me less reactive, more compassionate and more empathetic. It's made me a better boss and friend. As a cancer “thriver” I did yoga all throughout treatments of chemotherapy and radiation. It has been the one steady thing that helped me through the most difficult times in my life by not letting emotions get stuck in my body.

My specialty is Slow Flow and Yin focusing on the chakras. I know what it's like to be in pain and can help guide students how to modify poses for where their body is currently. I believe yoga is for every BODY and will offer a safe and comfortable environment to explore.
