Inner Fire Yogi since February 2022

I joined Inner Fire in February 2022. Prior to joining, I was primarily an at-home worker-outer: Beach Body on Demand, Jillian Michaels, Crunch, etc. Coming out of the pandemic, I was craving something more, and I was also looking for community and connection. I tried another yoga studio, but found the classrooms cold (temp), and didn't feel the connection. A dear friend of mine, and fellow Yogi (Marni Walker) suggested I try Inner Fire Yoga. I started with the month trial, and loved it. I didn't even hesitate when asked to join.

I have noticed from practicing on a regular basis that the anxiety I have dealt with pretty much all my life, was slowly fading away. Prior to joining, my mind was always racing – I was in a constant state of worry, continually playing the ‘what ifs’ in my mind. No amount of medication was helping, that is, until I started to come to my mat on a regular basis. With each class I found my mind calming, and a sense of peace would wash over me. I have found strength with yoga, both mentally and physically.

I started with the Power and Slow Flow classes, and eventually added Inner Fire Flow to the mix. Fast forward 3 years, and I am now loving the Original Hot Yoga classes. There is nothing like sweating it out in the Original Hot, and constantly working on the 26 poses. I leave each class feeling exhilarated and strong.

Along with my anxiety easing, I have noticed my sleep has improved greatly. My overall sense of self is just in a really good spot, and I owe this all to Inner Fire Yoga. My time on the mat is sacred, in fact, I often tell my family and friends when I go to yoga, I am going to church. It is truly the best investment I have ever made in myself.

All of the instructors are fabulous, and they all have their individual style, which I love. I recommend trying all the different classes, as you can learn something new from each instructor. I also recommend taking the wonderful workshops that are offered – I find great value in those. I am so thankful and blessed by this wonderful community. Thank you Inner Fire for being you!
